The VSP Charitable Fund selects organizations that seek to create lasting change in the broader community. Most of the organizations we support do work that helps strengthen families and communities, especially women in crisis and mothers in need. Organizations that empower individuals to seek betterment through education also harmonize well with the mission of VSP.

Family & Community

Family is a constant source of inspiration and meaning for Vince and Shannon, and it’s likewise a core commitment in the philanthropy work, giving, and partnerships that VSP undertakes. Our giving recognizes the link between strong, healthy families and strong, healthy communities.

Women

VSP is committed to a diverse group of organizations that share the commitment to improving opportunity and wellbeing for women, especially mothers and women in crisis. We put our efforts toward promoting justice and offering empowerment in a variety of forms, with permanent benefits for women, children, and society at large.

Education

Universally recognized as a factor for self-improvement and success, VSP views access to education as an especially worthy cause to support, which it takes on in the form of support of educational organizations, as well as offering scholarships. We’ve assisted students experiencing economic difficulty pursue their education goals, making a difference in the lives of individuals, families, and their communities.

Mommy and Me Cancer Foundation

Started in 2013, MAMCF supports mothers, particularly those with minor children, providing financial assistance, peer-to-peer support, education & support for family members. With the help of MAMCF, hundreds of families have received care and guidance through the most difficult time they’ve faced.

Recent Work

The initial costs of a cancer diagnosis can be $5,000, and lost wages that build up only make financial matters worse. That’s why MAMCF began the Purple Petals Program, offering financial assistance to mothers and families facing cancer treatments.
Equally important to financial support is emotional support. The It’s a Beautiful Deigh program offers just that, organizing private events that allow moms that were diagnosed with cancer to connect and help each other.

Children whose mothers are diagnosed with cancer are confronted with tough questions and emotions. Kinsey’s Corner is an educational program that connects families with resources that can aid in fighting fear with understanding as kids and parents confront one of the most difficult times of their lives.

VSP is grateful to all the work that Mommy and Me Cancer Fundation does to help families stand strong together.
